TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Bluffton University volleyball team wrapped up its regular season with a three-set loss at Rose-Hulman on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025. Rose improved to 16-11 and 4-5 in the conference, while Bluffton slipped to 13-19 and 2-7 in the HCAC.
The Beavers were cruising through the first set, just about to put it on ice with a 22-14 lead, when the proverbial wheels fell off. Rose went on an 11-1 run to close out the lidlifter and the Engineers completed the sweep thanks to a whopping 61-33 advantage over the final 2+ sets.
Senior Jenna Woods (DeGraff/Riverside) pounded 10 kills to pace the Beaver offense. Her 442 hammers are currently 7th all-time for a single season! Gabby Williams (West Liberty/West Liberty-Salem) dished out 18 assists for the visitors. Emma Organ (Lambertville, MI/St. Ursula Academy) and Williams picked up 15 and 13 digs, respectively.
Stuffing the Engineers were seniors Bekah Pack (Lexington) and Paige Massie (Alvada/Arcadia) who piled up seven and six blocks, respectively.
Bluffton now awaits the result from the final regular-season matchup between Anderson and Hanover. A Panther victory will send Bluffton into the Heartland Conference tournament as the #8 seed, while a Raven victory ends the Beavers' season. If Bluffton gains entry, it will travel to #1 seed Earlham College on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
