BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University Swim and Dive traveled to Delaware on Friday, Nov. 14, to swim against Ohio Wesleyan University and Ohio Northern University. The swim team had some notable performances from a numerous swimmers and divers!
Senior Sydney Grisier (Bryan) had an outstanding meet, starting with her 1000-yard freestyle. She took 6th with a time of 16:02.48. Grisier placed 2nd in 1-meter diving with a score of 150.80. That puts her 4th all-time in the record books. She also snatched 1st place in 3-meter diving while also breaking the school record! Her mark is now 151.60.
Sophomore Jami Baker (Lowell, Ind.) had an outstanding performance in the 100-yard backstroke, placing 2nd and getting a personal best with a time of 1:09.27! That makes her 3rd all-time in the record books. Juliana Brooks (Canton/McKinley) competed in the 50-yard free and swam a time of 33.83. She also competed in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:27.37.
Sophomore Landon Gardner (Whitehall, Mich./Grand Haven) competed in the 100-yard IM, placing 10th with a time of 1:15.45. That puts his time 3rd all-time in the record books!
Bluffton will be back in the pool when the Beavers travel to Canton for the three-day Mid-Season Meet at Malone, starting on Thursday, Nov. 20. Go Beavers!
