Beavers shoot a 351 at Heartland Spring Finale

CLAYTON, Ind. - The Bluffton University women's golf team shot a 351 on day one of the Heartland Spring Finale at the Deer Creek Golf Club. Bluffton stands fourth, ahead of HCAC rivals Anderson and Hanover.

A string of seven straight pars on the final seven holes of the front nine powered junior Hope Manning (South Charleston/Southeastern) to a team-best 82 on Saturday as she placed fifth among HCAC contestants. Junior Gabby Green (Beavercreek/Carroll) equaled here season low with an 85, just three strokes behind Manning.

Sophomore Keylee Goerss (Hamilton/Talawanda) shot par on six of her final seven holes en route to an 88 on day one. Junior Alyssa Begoon (New Madison/Tri-Village) rounded out the scoring with a 96.

Bluffton will be back at Deer Creek for day two of the Heartland Spring Finale on Sunday, April 26. The shotgun start will commence at 9 a.m.
