LIMA, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's golf team went to work on day two at Colonial Golf Club and scores showed it. Bluffton shaved 34 strokes off its Sunday season opener, shooting a 356 on Monday, Sept. 1.
Hope Manning (South Charleston/Southeastern) dropped eight strokes in 24 hours, leading the Beavers with an 81 at Colonial. Fellow junior Gabby Green (Beavercreek/Carroll) took seven strokes off with her round of 92. Sophomore Keylee Goerss (Hamilton/Talawanda) slashed nine off her Sunday round with an 89 on Monday.
Junior Alyssa Begoon (New Madison/Tri-Village) dropped a whopping 13 strokes off her day one, carding a 94 over the final 18 holes. Kendall Van Horn (Wharton/Upper Sandusky) wrapped up the Labor Day weekend with a 112 on Monday.
Bluffton will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 5 for the Olivet College Kyle Campbell Invitational at the Medalist GC.
