RICHMOND, Ind. - The Bluffton University women's golf team placed 2nd at the Earlham College Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Bluffton tallied a 337 one day after shooting a 343 as the Beavers finished the weekend with a 680, trailing just Mount St. Joseph.
Sophomore Jordan Hemmelgarn (Coldwater) notched her fist collegiate victory, tying for top honors with a 162 after shooting 80 and 82! She shared the podium with Alyssa Haverstraw from MSJ.
Seniors Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) and Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Hilliard Bradley) placed fifth and seventh, respectively. Cline finished the weekend with a 169, while Waggener went 87-84 for a 171.
Also in the top 10 was Hope Manning (South Charleston/Southeastern) who placed ninth with a 178. Fellow sophomore Alyssa Begoon (New Madison/Tri-Village) carded a 186 and Gabby Green (Beavercreek/Carroll) knocked eight strokes off her Friday score on day two (102-94).
Bluffton will be off next weekend before the season comes to an end at the Heartland Conference Championships on Friday through Sunday, May 2-4. Transylvania hosts the tournament at Kearney Hill Golf Club in Lexington, Ky.
