Beavers take 3rd at Heidelberg Fall Invite

FOSTORIA, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's golf team continued its hot start to the season, shooting a school-record 641 at the Heidelberg Fall Invite! Bluffton's 320 on Saturday, Sept. 14, is 3rd all-time for an 18-hole event. The women took third behind conference foe Mount St. Joseph and Mount Union from the OAC.

Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Bradley) led the Beavers with a 77 on Saturday, propelling her to a 4th place finish with a 153 for the weekend. Waggener's 153 is 3rd all-time for 36 holes. Just off her pace was fellow senior Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) who tied for eighth with a 156 (76-80).

Sophomore Hope Manning (South Charleston/Southeastern) shaved five strokes off her Friday score, shooting an 80 and wrapping up the weekend with a 165. Jordan Hemmelgarn (Coldwater) went 84-83 for a 167.

Gabby Green (Beavercreek/Carroll) fired a career-low 84 for a 178, while Keylee Goerss (Hamilton/Talawanda) also shot a career-best with an 85 for a 179.

Bluffton is back in action on Sunday, Sept. 22, when both the men and women head to Meadville, Pa., for the Allegheny College Invitational.
