Richmond, Ky. - The Bluffton University men's golf team stands 7th after shooting a 319 in round one of the Heartland Conference Championships on a cold Friday, May 1, 2026. It was a tight field at Boone's Trace National Golf Club as just 10 strokes separate 2nd through 7th place after day one.
Sophomore Aaron Gerber (Vermilion) was on fire, shooting a two-over 74 on Friday. Fellow sophomore Drake Sommer (Montpelier) carded an 80 at Boone's Trace.
Junior Carson Brubaker (Shelby) and sophomore Jack Wyant (Mansfield/Lexington) went 82 and 83, respectively, while senior Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) finished day one with a 93.
Bluffton will be back in Richmond for day two of the HCAC Championships at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
