RICHMOND, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's golf team shaved five strokes off its Saturday score with a 315 on Sunday, April 19. The Beavers placed 8th with a 635, just nine strokes out of 5th place at the Earlham Spring Invitational hosted by the Richmond Elks Country Club.
Sophomore Aaron Gerber (Vermilion) went 77-76 for a 153 and 9th place finish. Drake Sommer (Montpelier) was just one stroke back with a 77 on Sunday.
Jack Wyant (Mansfield/Lexington) and junior Carson Brubaker (Shelby) went 80 and 82, while senior Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) followed with an 89.
The Beavers will have their first week off this spring before heading to the HCAC Championships at Boone's Trace National Golf Club on Friday, May 1, for the first of three rounds which will cap off the 2025-26 season.
