Bluffton dominates the field at Last Shot

DANVILLE, Ky. - The Bluffton University men's golf team capped off an impressive weekend with a first place finish at the Last Shot Invitational hosted by Alice Lloyd College on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Bluffton won by a whopping 26 strokes after shooting 301 and 310 at Old Bridge. The 611 was a season-best for the Beavers.

Junior Carson Brubaker (Shelby) took second overall after shooting 70-79 for a 149 for the weekend, just two strokes away from the victor. Sophomores Aaron Gerber (Vermilion) and Jack Wyant (Mansfield/Lexington) made it three Beavers in the top four as they chipped in with a pair of 151's.

Senior Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) tied for 10th with a 160, while sophomore Drake Sommer (Montpelier) finished in a three-way tie for 15th with a 165.

Bluffton's men will be in competition mode for a fifth straight weekend when the Beavers travel to the Richmond Elks Country Club for the Earlham Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 18.
