BEAVERDAM, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's golf team dropped eight strokes off its Good Friday score with an impressive 311 on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Bluffton placed 7th at it's Polar Beaver Easter Classic.
Shooting his second consecutive 1-over par 73, Aaron Gerber (Vermilion) placed 4th out of 67 golfers with a sparkling 146 which tied him for 2nd all-time at Bluffton. He now holds the top two spots with a 142 and a 146! Fellow sophomore Drake Sommer (Montpelier) led the 'B' unit with a 157 thanks to a 75 on Saturday. Jack Wyant (Mansfield/Lexington) carded a 160 (83-77) finishing in the top half of the event hosted by Bluffton and ONU.
Junior Carson Brubaker (Shelby) finished with a 162 after shooting a 79 on day two. Senior Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) and sophomore Jackson Eichler (Atwater/Waterloo) both tallied 163's for the weekend. Gavin Ferguson (Burbank/Norwayne) was two strokes back with a 165. Matt Owen (Lima/Shawnee) went 85-84 for a 169.
Sergio Muniz (Milwaukee, Wis./Nathan Hales) chipped in with a 182 after taking six strokes off his Good Friday score. Evan Kindred (Bellevue/Fremont Ross) and Kaden McWatters (Genoa/Genoa Area) shot 187 and 192, respectively.
Playing for a fourth straight weekend, the Bluffton men travel back to Alice Lloyd College for Last Shot at Old Bridge next Saturday and Sunday, April 11-12.
