RICHMOND, Ky. - The Bluffton University men's golf team capped off its first weekend of 2026 with a 311 one day after shooting a 307 on the way to an 8th place finish at the Alice Lloyd Spring Invitational on Sunday, March 22.
Aaron Gerber (Vermilion) led the way with a 75 on Sunday, giving him a team-best 151 for the weekend. He tallied three birdies and one of two Bluffton eagles on the par-4 7th hole at Battlefield Golf Club. Fellow sophomore Drake Sommer (Montpelier) and senior Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) went 156 and 157, respectively.
Junior Carson Brubaker (Shelby) dropped 10 strokes off his Saturday round, shooting a 76 on Saturday. He and sophomore Jack Wyant (Mansfield/Lexington) shot identical 162's for the weekend.
Bluffton will make the short trip to Heidelberg in Tiffin on Sunday, March 29, and Monday, March 30, for 36 holes at Mohawk Country Club. The women will join the men for their first competition this spring.
