Owen and Macke lead Beavers on day two

TECUMSEH, MIch. - The Bluffton University men's golf team took four strokes off its Friday score with a 340 on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025. The Beavers wrapped up the Irish Hills Intergollegiate with a 684, good for 6th place.

Sophomore Matt Owen (Lima/Shawnee) and senior Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) paced the Beavers with identical rounds of 84 on Sasturday. Drake Sommer (Montpelier) was one stroke back with an 85, while Aaron Gerber (Vermilion) and Jackson Eichler (Atwater/Waterloo) went 87 and 88, respectively.

A 684 for the weekend at Tecumseh Golf Club put the Beavers in front of University of Michigan-Dearborn when the final standings took shape.

Bluffton will put in the practice over the next two weeks in preparation for the MSJ Stateline Shootout at Miami-Whitewater Golf Club on Saturday, Sept. 27.
