Beavers card 326 at ONU Kick Off Classic

LIMA, Ohio - The Bluffton Beavers men's golf team would hit the links and start the 2025-26 campaign at the ONU Kick Off Classic. They would have two teams compete with their first team open up with a score of 326 and their second team finish with a 338.

Carding an 80 and leading the squad was sophomore Aaron Gerber (Vermilion). Carson Brubaker (Shelby) and Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) were right behind him, with Brubaker tallying an 81 and Macke scoring an 82. Rounding out the first teams scorecard was Jack Wyant (Mansfield/Lexington) who finished the day with an 83. 

The second team for the Beavers were led by Jackson Eichler (Atwater/Waterloo) who carded an 81 in the first round of the classic, followed closely by Drake Sommer (Montpelier) who scored an 83. Finishing the day with an 86 was sophomore Matt Owen (Lima/Shawnee) and Sergio Muniz (Milwaukee, Wis./Nathan Hales) fired an 88 to round out the scorecard for Bluffton's second team. 

Individually, sophomore Kaden McWatters (Genoa/Genoa Area) will look to build on his first round as he scored a 99 in the individuals. 

The Beavers will be back at the Colonial Golf Course for the Joe Campoli Memorial on Monday, Sept. 1, when they tee off at 9 a.m.
