Beavers drops 3-0 contest to RIT

By: Colton Steiner

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton Beavers would go up against the RIT Gray Rocket League squad from the Rochester Institute of Technology where the Tigers would come out strong and not look back. After holding the Beavers to one goal in game one, RIT would shut out Bluffton in two games as they got the 3-0 sweep, dropping the Beavers to a record of 1-4 on the season.

The Tigers would come out strong right out of the gate, scoring six unanswered goals before Zach Rhynes (Toledo, Ohio / Start) got Bluffton on the board as they would end up falling 7-1 after one game. The two teams would battle in game two, but after three late goals from RIT allowed them to take the game, the Beavers found themselves down 2-0. Game three would be much like the previous round as the two teams were scoreless after two minutes, but three unanswered goals from the Tigers allowed them to seal the round and seal the 3-0 sweep.

The Beavers will kick right back into action on Monday, Mar. 23 when they face off against Clarke University at 10 p.m. before playing Cincinnati on Tuesday, Mar. 24 at 7 p.m. You can tune into all of the Bluffton Esports action on Boxcast, Twitch, and YouTube.
