BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton Beavers RL Purple squad would go head-to-head with the Howard University RL B team in a game that was much closer than what the final scoreboard read. After close rounds in one and two,the Bison would pull away in the final round to seal a 3-0 sweep of the Beavers as Bluffton drops to 1-2 as Howard stays undefeated at 3-0. 

The Beavers would get things going in round one, scoring first off a goal from Andrew Phillips (Westfield, IN / Westfield) to put Bluffton up 1-0 with 2:43 left to play. With just 49 seconds left in the round, the Bison would find the back of the goal to even things up at one a piece, and after neither team would score, they would go to a sudden death overtime period in round one. Howard would take advantage of the reset, and just 14 seconds into OT, would score to take the first round 2-1. Game two would get going as the two teams would be in a defensive battle until there was 3:31 left in the round as Braxton Fruchey (Lima, Ohio / Homeschooled) would score off a Zach Rhynes (Toledo, Ohio / Start) assist, putting Bluffton up 1-0. The Beavers would keep the Bison out of the net until there was 1:20 left where Howard scored a tying goal followed by a go-ahead score just 22 seconds later. Down 2-1, Bluffton would be unable to tie things up, and a third goal from the Bison as time expired gave Howard round 2 with a 3-1 win. Momentum was now in favor of the Bison as they would get in a rhythm and stun the Beavers with a 6-0 shutout win, sealing the 3-0 sweep.
