BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University swept the HCAC Players of the Week following a pair of wins that capped off the trip to Florida. Junior Drew Snipes (Pickerington/North) took home Hitter of the Week, while freshman Travis Rooney (Thompson, Pa./Susquehanna) notched Pitcher of the Week honors.

Snipes hit .462 with nine RBI and five runs scored as Bluffton went 3-5 on the week with wins over Calvin and Trine to close out the Florida trip. He finished the week with two doubles, a triple, and a walkoff homer for the Beavers. Snipes slugged .731 and had a .545 on-base percentage.

Rooney tossed eight scoreless innings across three appearances, going 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA. He held the opposition to a miniscule 0.77 batting average with five strikeouts and just one walk.

The Beavers travel to Beavers Field in Lancaster to compete in a round robin against Capital and Chatham on Saturday, Mar. 14, starting at 10:30 a.m.
